About Me

Hey there,
I am Michal, currently living in Prague, occasionally cooking good food, and more than occasionally enjoying learning stuff about people, the world, and most importantly, myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learn things I couldn't or wouldn't learn otherwise.

Interests

I like to talk about just pretty much... anything. Be it laugh, love, pain, or just plain life, any topic is amazing when diving one or more layers deeper.

I love languages (able to teach Japanese, German, and for those very random people, Slovak. Always enjoying the opportunity to brush-up French and Chinese or learn something completely new), enjoy buying ingredients and cooking with them (worked at a Japanese restaurant in Nagoya few years ago), I truly enjoy music (guitar and old LPs), I love taking pictures (love to develop own BW films), dancing (Argentine tango), occasionally moving around (running/scuba/yoga/ski/snowboard)...

And I sincerely try to never miss an opportunity to learn something new.

Music, Movies, and Books

My current favourite that made me cry many, many times is Letters to a Young Poet by Mr. Rilke.

Besides that I am currently chewing through Nudge, Atlas shrugged, The Design of Everyday Things, and The Book of the Courtier. Book tapas it is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked for one week as a volunteer at the WCBF camp in Japan (www.wcbf.org) with 100+ kids aged 11-12 from the whole world (Asia/Europe/Africa/Americas) and actually survived the 168 hours-long non-stop party.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A beer and an easy walk through the city. for the moment :)
