About Me

I am on my way to Portland with everything I own in my car, saying goodbye to Kansas City.

It's kind of a funny story though: . I packed as much as I could in the back of my car and departed Kansas City on Monday. My clutch went out in Reno, but I made it to my Airbnb in South Lake Tahoe. The next morning (Friday) I took the car to a mechanic, but they can't have it fixed until this Friday. Because of the holiday, finding a place in or around Lake Tahoe was next to impossible, so I rented a car and headed to LA to see a friend. She was on her way out of town though, so I'm basically just crashing at her apartment with my dog and making my way to various sites and what not until I have to go back to Tahoe for my car and then get back on the road to Portland.

The mechanic called today and said I can pick-up my car as soon as they open on Friday. So Jarvis and I are hoping to find a spot to crash tonight that's closer to Tahoe than we are now in LA, allowing me to clean and return our rental car as early as possible so we can get on the road. I definitely didn't plan on losing a week along the way.

Anyhow, I'm a dog trainer, so Jarvis is well behaved and gets along well with other pets and people. As for me, I'm pretty easy to get along with.

Downside: we'll probably arrive pretty late tonight
