About Me

*** SOooo Sorry, we currently can’t afford to host. However, we can rent our spare bedroom (double bed). If you are interested (even if it’s just for one night) contact me. You will still get the good company and tips ;)

I'm from Belgium and I love travelling and learning from each others. I have caught the travelling bug from my parents that are both Physical Education teachers. Each school holidays we were travelling somewhere with my little brother (that is btw taller than me now and so proud of it haha). I've done quite a lot of Europe with them, always to the coast though, as our common hobbies are windsurfing, sailing and kitesurfing. We used to travel with a camper van so I'm therefore a camping lover.

I live with my boyfriend, Thomas, in Sydney. He is an automation engineer working in factories that are dealing with bottles containing liquids, like beers!!! =)

My friends usually say that I'm a really motivated person. When I'm travelling, I love meeting people, organising trips everywhere, taking care of the hostels or camping booking as well as the car. I know what I want from life and I always try to work hard to achieve it but I'm happier when I share what I'm doing with others. I like seeing people beeing happy and will do everything I can to help them. I'm reliable and trustworthy.

I graduated from a Masters Degree in Geography in septembre 2013 then flew to Australia to work as an Au Pair and travel. I've LOVED my experience there and can say that it was one of the most amazing part of my life so far. I could tell you loads about it all =) Then I went to Bali for two weeks where it was amazing as well. I met a really cool guide that I recommend you. He is now also a friend.

Coming back to Europe I decided to study one more year to become an upper secondary school geography teacher and I have been teaching for 4 months. I then worked in a research centre that focuses on natural and technological disasters.

We moved to Sydney in May 2017.

OK I think that's enough about me for now =) If you think you could get on well with who I am don't hesitate to send me a message. We could talk a bit more and then see if you'd like to meet up/host us/become our guests =)

Looking forward to hearing from you

Alizée

Music, Movies, and Books

I like loads of different kinds of music. I've learned piano (classical music) and bass guitar (played in a band with friends, rock-metal music). For the moment, I like edm music the most. I went to TomorroWorld in Atlanta which was unfortunately a disappointment but went to Tomorrowland, Belgium which was absolutely amazing. We also went to Ultra music festival in Bali where the view was just so great :) Our favourite DJ is definitely JAUZ!!! Look it up if you haven't heard of him ;) also love Joyryde, Skrillex, Petit Biscuit, Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, Mumford and Sons...

Movies: I don't have a favourite movie but I like the kind of Inception, The jacket, The Hunger Games, and I've felt in love with I Origins recently.

Series: Fringe, Blacklist, Blinspot, The Walking Dead, Sense 8, Orphan Black, Black Mirror, Westworld, ...

Books: I'm not a huge reader as I had so much to read for my studies already...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, learn and share is actually the things I probably like the most on earth. Teaching, learning, sharing... what? EVERYTHING! I think the world is beautiful because we're all different and I'm happy only when I can learn from others, learn a new culture, a new language, a new way of life, a new kind of music, new knowledge, ... and teach and share what I know so far to everybody I meet. Couchsurfing is then a really good opportunity to help me in doing what I love the most: meeting new friends, teach, learn and share.
