About Me
My name is Peadar. I'm from Dublin and I've spent the last 5 years studying in London (and in Berlin). After graduating I cycled 4000km from Ireland to Iran with my good friend Michael. Check out our blog wheretheboysat.tumblr.com.
I used couchsurfing and warm showers throughout the trip, so if you're a cyclist I encourage you to drop me a message and I'll help however I can!
You can find me on Instagram.com/peadarpeadar to ensure I'm a real person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling for me has always been about the people I meet along the way. My favourite moments have all been shared with the new people I've met on the road and that's what I seek out when I get going.
Interests
I've studied a mix of politics, history, film and literature at university and I guess that's where a lot of my interests lie. I try to read widely and to experience art and culture however it presents itself.
I love radio, I think that it is a brilliant medium and maybe it's where I would like to work in the future.
Music, Movies, and Books
I've been reading Italo Calvino lately, I'm currently on the Baron in the Trees. Books I've enjoyed over the last while are Radetsky March by Joseph Roth and Room by Emma Donoghue.
Listening to a fair few podcasts, usually have Radiotopia stuff and NPR/BBC World Service on the go.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
3 months of cycling in the late autumn /winter from Ireland to Iran. Can't believe it's over!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Gaelic Irish, or give you a go on my bike!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some good stories, good company and a laugh. I enjoy cooking, so I'm happy to get busy in the kitchen.
