I am a 24-year-old student, who loves music, sports and good company, hates self-descriptions and tries to be a decent human being. I can be rather chatty or more of a quite guy, depending on the time of the day, my mood and my caffeine level. Currently, I live in Leipzig doing my Bachelor's degree in Linguistics. I was doing a voluntary service close to Bratislava/Slovakia, also I lived in Dublin/Ireland for some months.

Interests

As a self-proclaimed wannabe musician, I like music in every way. I play the guitar and failed to learn how to play the piano. Also, I love sharing my love for music and getting new influences and recommendations.
I'm fascinated by the human language in all its aspects, which is both due to the fact that I study linguistics and the reason I study it.
I like screwing around with old cameras. I got a camera from the late 70s for a couple of bucks, and I really love using it a lot. Also, I'm interested in sports. I like playing football, and I somehow seem to enjoy getting angry about my favourite team losing every bloody weekend.

Last but not least, I simply enjoy being in good company, no matter what's the occasion. I like having a beer with friends, I like to go to parties, and I think I might develop an addiction to good coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many kinds of music - I'm into rock music and metal for years now, but I try to have an open mind about music. Recently, I'm listening to a lot of stoner and psychedelic rock, but also to blues, jazz, electronic music and a little bit of rap and classical music. I'm constantly looking for music I didn't come across yet and I'm graceful for everyone who broadens my horizon.

I like to read, but I wouldn't consider myself a big reader. I enjoyed books from Orwell, Douglas Adams, Anthony Burgess and T.C. Boyle, but I rarely find (or rather take) the time to read. Basically, it's the same for movies: I like films like The Big Lebowski, Dead Man, and basically everything Quentin Tarantino or Monty Python are involved in, but I don't watch movies that often.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I probably could teach you one or two guitar chords. Apart from that, I'm always glad to help people who want to learn German or any other language I'm familiar with.
I would love to learn new languages! Currently, Dutch or Spanish are on the top of my wish list, but I tend to change this list quite often.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Even though I'm probably not the best chef there is, I enjoy cooking and I could try my best to prepare something edible :) Apart from that, I'd be more than happy to help with whatever has to be done.
