About Me
ABOUT ME
An American in Paris. Nope. That is not right. An American living in Madrid.
PHILOSOPHY
The most interesting quality someone can have is to show interest in other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me the basic mission of couchsurfing is to help other travelers and make it accessible to all. I also enjoy getting know other people from around the world. Some hosts have become really good friends that I've maintained contact with and others, a passing friendship, but still fulfilling nevertheless, even if it was just a brief encounter.
I do like a cultural exchange as well. To chat, cook a meal, maybe go out for a drink or a meal. And, if we click as friends, to go out and hangout around the city.
However, I understand people may be busy, so I do not expect someone to host me 24 hours. I also understand though, if they want to invite me to do something or show me around as well. I suppose in the end, it's all about communication!
Interests
Currently an English teacher in Madrid. I write short stories, and features for a Travel Magazine, do stand-up comedy, and act. I also love to play tennis, basketball, and ultimate frisbee.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots. Lots. Lots. Lots. Lots.
The most recent book I finished was Music for Chameleons by Truman Capote. My favorite play is the House of Blue Leaves by John Guare. And I absolutely adore Tennessee Williams.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
(I would like to travel all of Latin America as I am obsessed with the Spanish language and Latin American culture.)
And my one amazing thing....hmmmm...hmmmm...I've bungee jumped which was an amazing experience, and backpacked the Yucantan peninsula for a month; however, my favorite memories have always been memories that involve people. People always make the place. Make the experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Spanish, English, Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, (most sports to be exact), country swing dancing, and salsa. I can share some improvisational performances as I'm in a comedy improv troupe....and I make a mean turkey for Thanksgiving.
