Overview
About Me
I´m a Peruvian wanderluster who loves to travel, road trips, trekking, and just meeting different people from all over. I´ve met a whole assortment of interesting people backpacking through South America, Asia, US and Canada.
A couple of years ago I underwent a life-changing experience in which I decided to travel as much as I could for 3 years in my spare time (which isn't really that much), but I was able to cross most of South America and México from my bucket list, do some serious road tripping in the USA, and go to Japan and Southeast Asia. I even went to the World Cup with my dad (which was amazing) and we backpacked through a great deal of Brazil.
I used to live a quite happy but uneventful life in my home country, Peru (its a beautiful country to visit if I may say so myself). I realized I hadn´t done quite as much as I had hoped to do when I was a kid. I hadn´t been to the places i dreamt of, i didn't own a house yet or had a wife (well, that one can just wait a little bit). I wouldn't actually call it a quarter life crisis as much as a realization that I should, while I can and am young, try to fulfill one of my dreams from my youth which was to go out there, travel, and experience life. And thats what I've been doing so far.
PHILOSOPHY
Without wanting to fall into a cliche i would say that i´m young, free and you only live once. So I like to seize all the opportunities that life presents to me and go for them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is a new experience for me. A friend i met in Ecuador recommended me the site so here i am.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet but eager to experience it.
Interests
I like to read a lot, watch movies, series and plan my next trips.
I´m also into extreme sports. So far i´ve donde Bungee at 125 metres in Cuzco and thrown myself from a bridge at 55 metres in Argentina (my head actually touched the water under the bridge) for another bungee. Ive done rafting, mountain climbing and zipline in Ecuador, and paragliding in Brazil. All of which i wouldnt have dreamt off a couple of years ago, since i´ve decided to start my adventure after a great new year in Brazil this 2012-2015.

Music, Movies, and Books
I´ll mention my last top 3
I like reading a lot. Books i´ve read recently: Foundation trilogy (Isaac Asimov), One hundred years of solitude (Gabriel García Marquez), Blindness (José Saramago)
Currently my favorite series are the following (in no particular order): Game of thrones (I´m hooked), Falling skies (meh, its not groundbreaking but i like it), The big bang theory (this is just awesome)
I´m also into anime and into comics which I read since i was a child, but i´ve lost track of recent events. Basically marvel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip to Brazil for this 2012 -2013 new Year. A friend told me to go to Brazil with him for the new year, the idea was to go us both as buddies. He had already been there so i didnt plan anything for our 16 days trip. I don´t know if luckily or not, but he got a girlfriend a few days prior to the trip and she didnt let him go to the trip (oh, and he didn´t told me like..... until 5 hours before the plane left). So I arrived to Brazil, alone, 2 days before new year and without any plans whatsoever. Anyway it was the best trip i´ve made in my life. I met a lot of amazing people, visited some incredible places, spent an unforgetabble new year and felt in love with a gorgeous Argentinean girl (reality eventually catched up with us and we realized we were not meant to be, but nevertheless it was amazing). And thats when it hit me, hey! This travelling alone might be a great experience, i´ll do it as much as I can.
