Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now I live in an international college which is a part of the UWC colleges (United World Colleges, Red Cross Nordic United World College to be exact, and as I live in the student campus I cannot couch anyone. However, when I lived with my mother Daiva Stakvilevičienė, who is also a part of this site, we used to host people quite often, show them around, let them try some national food, such a great experience! and even if I can't couch anyone I love this idea of couch surfing and meeting new people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I live in the student village of my college located literally in the middle of nowhere in a room with 4 other girls so I can't host anyone now :( :(
But back in home, we used to host people quite often and do round trips, have crazy interesting talks, eat and go out together so that is probably my experience. My mom is on this site (Daiva Stakvilevičienė) and she is very active and fascinated by this idea of sharing your home with travelers
Interests
Music firstly, I play the flute and the piano, then languages, I have been learning french for 6 years and Chinese Mandarin ab Initio in my college now (I LOVE Chinese characters). Also I like both sciences and politics, I want to do a double major in Computer Science and politics or international relations. I also love arts, watch anime and read manga ( I am a great fan of Asia). I also like cooking, reading, learning about new cultures (my college gives an amazing opportunity to do so). I love history, and architecture too and this is one of the reasons why I want to do a Eurotrip, because seeing all the great cities and their architecture (GAUDI!) of Europe is going to be fascinating.
I also have to mention sports, I love basketball, both watching and playing, also boxing and volley, especially the beach one.
That's probably the ones that are the easiest to notice, but there are waaaaaay more which you can see if you meet me :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Nietzsche is my favorite philosopher, but my favorite book series is Max Frei the labyrinths of Echo. I love those, but I never say no to any book, I think it is a very nice way to relax. I also read the Foreign Affairs, the Economist, American Scientist and the Science monthly because I think it offers a possibility to widen my range of knowledge and follow the news of the world in high quality way. Music - classic (Ludovico Einaudi is by far my favorite), chill indie rock like the neighborhood or the shins and rap.
Movies.. I prefer anime :D But also I like all kinds of movies, but I do not have an extremely sophisticated taste in that yet so I usually trust my friends. Lately I found the European cinema, and especially the Scandinavian movies are very interesting. I've watched the Jagten in danish recently and was very, very impressed.
