I'm Martina, 23 years old, from Croatia. I am currently studying German and Russian language/literature at the University of Zadar in Croatia. I opened this profile years ago, but I forgot about it, and now I want to start using it because I really love travelling. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to host guests, but I hope I can change that in the near future. :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I decided to open an account a few years ago and I completely forgot about it because at that time I wasn't able to travel or to host anyone. A friend of mine suggested that I reactivate the account and give it a try once again. I think it would be a great experience for me.

Interessen

I love travelling and meeting new people and their cultures, I love talking about my own culture as well. I always try to bring something from my country, either food or a souvenir. I am especially interested in language and cultural differences between my country and the one I visit. I'm not so much interested in museums and history, I'm more interested in walking around, observing people and their traditions.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The most recent thing that happened to me was the student exchange that I applied for this year. I spent 3 months living in Moscow, which improved my Russian significantly. When the University lectures were over I took the transsiberian train all the way from Moscow to Vladivostok, with a few stops on the way. I'm currently less than a day away from Vladivostok and I write this as I'm sitting in the train. It's by far the biggest journey of my life.
