ABOUT ME

Work less, play more. That would be my preferred way of living. Although I am able to enjoy myself alone at home, I prefer to be among nice, creative people. Most of my friends are more or less involved in something creative/cultural/artistic, just like myself (I'm into visual/interactive arts).

PHILOSOPHY

Life is full of opportunities, you just need to work a bit to find them and use them to your own good. I'm never a quitter, I love challenges. I enjoy making other people happy, for example by cooking a nice meal, or helping them out in whatever way. Share the fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My house is much too big for just me, myself and I, and since I'm a spontaneous and outgoing person, I thought I might as well share it with others. There's lots of interesting events, festivals, concerts in Tilburg around the year, and being active myself in the cultural scene, I know some nice places to go, and will be willing to join my guests and show them around town. Of course this is not an obligation, you will not be punished if you decide to go out on your own ;-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Relatively new to the whole thing (3 years now). Love the concept, love the generosity of the people, and of course the whole idea of meeting lots of people.

Interests

Arts (video art, installation art, films, music, theatre, performance), teaching, songwriting, playing guitar, singing, enjoying good single malt whiskeys, DIY-ing in/around my house, cooking (and eating!), concerts, festivals... all good things in life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Art films, more or less philosophical literature, art books, anything related to films... but most of the time I'm so busy (creatively, socially, and a bit of working) that I don't have a lot of spare time for reading and such. ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things done: trip to Lombok, Indonesia (2008), performing with my own artist collective "Iksperiment" for thousands of people at Theaterfestival Boulevard (Den Bosch, NL, 2011 & 2012), couch surfing near Trieste, Italy (Summer 2014).

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to think of myself as a person who is able to achieve anything. For example, I like to help artists with the technical realisation of their works. If I have the time and energy, I will accept any challenge.
My skills and interests lie mainly in the area of video and sound engineering, programming, interactive installations/solutions. You could say I'm a creative nerd ;-)
