I am an Assistant Professor of Spanish, Translation and Linguistics based in Seattle, United States. Languages and travelling are my life.

I studied Translation and Interpreting and during my bachelor's studies I lived in Barcelona (Spain), Liverpool (the UK) and Paris (France). I think studying in a university abroad makes you learn a lot about a foreign society and living in another country makes you deeply understand that society. After my bachelor's, I studied a Master's in Teaching Spanish in International and Multicultural Contexts in Bilbao (Spain), Barcelona, Campinas (Brazil) and Stockholm (Sweden). I worked and lived in Stockholm for a year and a half. Then, I quitted my job and went travelling around Asia for 8 months. After this trip, I moved to the United States (Tucson, Arizona) and started a Ph.D. program in Spanish/Portuguese linguistics. 5 years later, I finished my doctorate, got hired as a professor in Seattle and moved there.

Apart from learning languages and travelling, I love music, dancing, and practicing yoga and meditation. I also love food, cooking, and learning recipes from around the world.
