About Me

I love traveling, hiking and nature, meeting new people (although I am a bit quiet at the beginning with new people), cultures, places, cities and countries, and I like challenges. I love to explore the world, whether on foot, on a bicycle, from the window of a train or driving a car.
[Great song which describes all about it: Canned Heat - Going Up the Country]

I spent three months in Bulgaria as a volunteer and although my English is not perfect, I didn't have a problem with communication about everything (also I know some words in Russian and indeed in all Slavic languages). So this is also a good way to improve my English skills.

And my favorite activity is looking for accomodation in CS in last-minute. I'm sorry, but I can't predict every situation, especially during hitchhiking. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually like to use low-cost alternatives such as hitchhiking and CouchSurfing. Best way to discover the most beautiful, most interesting and most diverse things, places, people. Because the best things are for free :)

First time I tried couchsurfing during my trip through the Baltic countries with my cousin and it was great. ( https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/helena-daniskova/references?type=host ).

Interests

I love hiking in forests and mountains, traveling and hitchhiking, discovering new things and places. I like to explore the world on a bike, or just run on it over the hills. Also, I am interested in nature - trees, animals, the beetles in particular, geography, history, philosophy, religions... actually a little bit of everything.
Maybe it sounds a bit like I had to know everything, but I have to. :))) I am very curious, I enjoy learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

From movies: documentaries, historical, war movies, but sometimes I need to see something funny and stupid at the same time.
I love music. But I don't have some my own reserved style. I listen to what I currently like. I like Rammstein, Marylin Manson, Evanescence, RHCP, Linkin Park, old classic rock, Dub FX, Radiohead, Placebo, jazz (especially new kinds of jazz like Kyoto Jazz Massive), Erykah Badu, Lana del Rey, Björk... sometimes the pop-shits (but it must be very very good). Also I love classic music, Beethoven or Yann Tiersen. This kind of music I like to play on the piano, it's like a wonderful time for me.
I read books very little, but one time... :)))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Each new trip for me is one amazing thing, but the most interesting was when I was a volunteer of mountain assistance in Bulgaria, or my travel to Spain/Portugal by hitchhiking, alone, without any precise plan (almost).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In
