About Me

It is always very strange to write about yourself, but here goes. I am a shy person who likes chatting (though with time I have discovered that no Brazilian is considered really shy abroad). I love reading, love my bike, ceramics, film (I study hindi films, but nobody else here in Brazil likes them), listening to music. I especially like music from Mali. I love going to the beach, especially desert beaches. I like walking in the woods, and around towns too. I do tai chi. I am crazy about Arab architecture and tiles and art (though I suppose none of this says much about me). I like drawing too, but haven't drawn in a while. I have a collection of comics. I have recently started to learn how to dance, but I am a terrible dancer. I like cooking but am not a good cook.
So, I suppose none of this really describes me... but I wouldn't know how to describe myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I think my favorite movie would be "The great silence". I am a big fan of spaghetti westerns. From Hindi films, Chalti Naam Ka Gadi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I have done is to participate in an indigenous ritual with Indians from the Amazon forest. That tops everything, and more. But I also got lost in the woods once, with my sister, in an island off the coast of Brazil. We spent about 12 hours trying to find our way and eventually went down to the sea, where we managed to get rescued by fishermen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I wish I could say I can cook an amazing feijoada, but alas! I can't. But I do make good scrambled eggs.
