About Me

CURRENT MISSION

May 2015. I plan to travel from Madrid (Spain) to Tokyo (Japan) for a few days, before heading down to New Zealand. I will travel around both islands, and hopefully, if I am able to make some money on the way, I will then go to Australia's East Coast. Once my Working Holiday Visas expires I will try to make it back to Spain traveling East , maybe with a roadtrip across the States. Money will dictate how this crazy idea evolves. I have not got a real plan for the moment, just a rough idea; things can change on the fly.

Dec 2015. Went to Japan and the north island of New Zealand, but left the South Island to discover. Searched for a job for a while, got tired of only finding crappy jobs poorly paid, jumped to Australia, did a surfing course, run out of money, searched for a job while traveling, found a job in Hamilton Island, worked there for a few months and now I am on the line again, looking for another job. Planning on going back to New Zealand to visit the South Island, but need more money.

Mar 2016. The job hunt in Australia didn't go as well as expected. I intend to travel to Hawaii and spend a month there. I am thrilled to make this dream finally true. I want to learn and experience the aloha spirit. After that I will travel to San Francisco, New York and back to Spain. Time to see the family again.

ABOUT ME

I was born in the USA but I have lived in Spain since the age of 3 and it is the place I call home.

Since I was a kid I always wanted to be a pilot, but my poor eyesight and worst economy made me look for other vocations. I studied Computer Science and, after college, I tried to become an Air Traffic Controller.p with little success. I worked in an skydiving school for a couple of years and then switched jobs till I ended up working for a software developer company. Right now I feel that this is not my call, so I am trying new things to see what really fulfills me. It ain't easy!

I am a gluten intolerant (celiac), which makes traveling more difficult. If you have the same problem I can give you a few tips and we can share experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is complicated, so keep it simple.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not so much of a book reader, with the Internet you have access to so much information that I have lost interest in reading novels or essays.

I love watching movies, but it is difficult to find one with good dialogs nowadays. Little by little I am losing interest in action and adventure movies, but I still find them fun for the moment.

Music is my passion. I go by stages, and now I am more into chillout house style music, but it depends of the moment. I love rock and I believe it will always be my favourite genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bet my life has been a bit dull as I feel unable to recall any truly amazing experiences. Some of the things out of ordinary that I have done are skydiving in Spain, driving a Chevy Camaro in LA, sailing to the island of Ibiza in a small sailboat or freediving with a record braker champion, but none of those things have burned into my memory as "amazing" things. Perhaps I am difficult to impress.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I have been inmersed in computers for a long part of my life, so you can ask anything to do with those danm machines!

I think that I have collected quite a few experiences and have learnt a lot from them, so I will be willing to share that knowledge.
