I'd have to say that my "mission" is to experience new and exciting things in life, and to learn from that. // Diría que experimentar cosas nuevas, emocionantes, y aprender de ellas.

ABOUT ME

It's hard to describe oneself, but I think I'm a calm person, although funny; and I definitely go crazy once in a while (it's good for my health haha). I'm very curious, and a great observer of the world and people around me. I believe beauty is in little details.

Es difícil hablar de uno mismo, pero me considero una persona tranquila, aunque divertida; y de vez en cuando me gusta hacer algo fuera de lo común, "alocado" (es bueno para la salud jaja). Soy muy curiosa, una gran observadora del mundo y de las personas que me rodean. Creo que la belleza está en el detalle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made my own Europe-trip for a month and a half in summer 2014; and mostly staying with CS. It was absolutely great! I met such nice people; and I really liked sharing time with people that actually live there, and getting to know their culture, their way of life, their interests and so on. I also used to love the feeling of "coming home" like a native, like part of the city, like if I lived there as well,.

Hice mi propio tour-europeo durante un mes y medio el verano de 2014; usando CS durante la mayor parte de mi estadía. ¡Fue increíble! Conocí gente maravillosa; y me encantó compartir mi tiempo con personas que realmente viven ahí, así como también conocer sus culturas, sus modos de vida, sus intereses, etc. También, me encantaba la sensación de "volver a casa" como nativa, como parte de la ciudad, como si yo también viviera ahí.

Interests

I like different things, from going to a bar for a beer with friends to riding a bike or staying at home reading a book. I enjoy long walks around the city, going to the cinema, cooking and painting, too. I like music, photograph very much, and in general I love all kinds of art.

Me gustan cosas diversas, desde ir a un bar a tomar una cerveza con amigos, hasta andar en bicicleta o quedarme leyendo en casa. Me gusta caminar por la ciudad, ir al cine, cocinar y pintar también. Me gusta escuchar música, la fotografía, y en general amo todo tipo de arte.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well...I've studied Literature, and it's veeery hard to choose just a couple of authors as my favourites. But anyway, I can name a few: Cortázar, Borges, Pizarnik, Onetti, Poe, Baudelaire, Shelley, Rulfo, Vallejo, Felisberto Hernández, Faulkner and the list goes on and on.

About music, I enjoy rock, jazz, blues, reggae, classical.

I just love going to the cinema. For instance, I like Almodóvar, Woody Allen, David Lynch, Kurosawa. I enjoy watching art cinema.

Bueno...Estudio Literatura, así que es muy difícil elegir sólo un par de autores. Pero de todos modos, puedo nombrar algunos: Cortázar, Borges, Pizarnik, Onetti, Poe, Baudelaire, Shelley, Rulfo, Vallejo, Felisberto Hernández, Faulkner y la lista sigue...

Me encanta ir al cine. Por ejemplo, me gustan Almodóvar, Woody Allen, David Lynch, Kurosawa. Me encanta ver cine clásico y cine arte.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I live amazing things almost everyday. My ability of being absorbed and get astonished with little things, makes me can say that.
Anyway, if I have to pick: once when I was swimming in brazilian sea, I caught a seaweed. I became totally amazed when a baby seahorse came off from the plant and stayed on the palm of my hand until I put it again on the water. It was really unbelievable.
Also, when I was in Barcelona and visited the Sagrada Familia cathedral, the art involved in that building really moved me. Once in a lifetime experience, for sure.

Creo que vivo cosas asombrosas casi todos los días. Mi capacidad de ser absorbida y de quedar asombrada con las pequeñas cosas me hacen poder decir eso.
Sin embargo, si tengo que elegir: una vez, mientras nadaba en el mar de Brazil, agarré un alga. Quedé totalmente sorprendida cuando un caballito de mar bebé se salió de la planta y quedó en la palma de mi mano, hasta que lo devolví al mar. Fue realmente increíble.
También, cuando estaba en Barcelona y visité la catedral de la Sagrada Familia, me conmovió muchísimo el arte involucrado en esa iglesia. Una experiencia única en la vida, definitivamente.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning all I can of all I care; and I really enjoy teaching the things I know and can share (Spanish, for instance).

Amo aprender todo lo que puedo de las cosas que me importan; y realmente disfruto enseñando las cosas que sé y que puedo compartir (español, por ejemplo).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you some Spanish (I'm also a Spanish teacher), cook something, have conversation about books and politics, sing in the shower (haha)...
