A Dutch student with a love for traveling! Especially to Asia. My major is Chinastudies. This means that I not only learn the language itself (Mandarin), but also the history, culture and traditions of China. Curious at heart, I love to study and learn new things, which is reflected in my love for traveling. I believe that this is the best way to actually get to know a country and its people, culture and language.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have seen a lot of different countries and cultures so far, but hope to keep adding more and more in the future. My current mission is to see the most of the world as I can. To visit more and more places and meet incredible people along the way. I believe by meeting local people through CS you can get the most unique experiences!

Living in China for a year: getting used to new surroundings, habits and food in a way I had never experienced while visiting countries just for travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

From my city you can get in 30 minutes to cities like the Hague, Rotterdam and of course Amsterdam by train. My city itself, Leiden, is a nice cosy little city, so I would love to show you around! And if you want we could share some stories while cooking together ^-^
