ABOUT ME

My name is Téo, I'm 21. I'm an outgoing guy! I love to go and get to know other people, other cultures. I've already spent an exchange year in 2010-2011 in America. and it just gave me the travel-bug!!

I would also say that I have a lot of energy!! I always need to do something, it can be sport, it can be music, it can be anything!
I feel like at my age, you need to go and have a good time!! I also feel like as travellers, we're really lucky to be able to travel around so we should the make the best out of it!

I don't think there's much left to say! I hope that the people who will go through my profile will be willing to host me after reading this! I'm eager to meet you to share our cultures =)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

-Well I don't own a home yet so it'll be mostly to find hosts where I could sleep on the couch! I had a good education with my parents so I'm quite familiar with helping for the chores in a house or a flat, cleaning the dishes, washing the sheets, etc... That's the kind of stuff I could do!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did some Couchsurfing in Berlin with that amazing host (Katharina Dimitrov everyone!)
It was a great experience. In my opinion it is such a great way to travel, meeting locals instead of staying in a hotel not knowing how many incredible people there are out there!! I also enjoyed getting to know the Couchsurfer community through my host. Lots of open-minded people and really cool to chill out with.
After that I decided to do 3-week tour of 8 German cities with the train. I had the luck to stay with a bunch of amazing hosts who made my trip unforgettable =) (Drinking Maté with a Rostock student, receiving an amazing tour by a local Hamburger, getting to know the Ukrainian culture in Leipzig, meeting an icn

I've always played a lot of sport and I could spend hours playing any sports with a ball basically (tennis, soccer, football baseball, etc...) =)

I played elite basketball as well! I think it's very important to stay fit (even if a fresh beer from time to time is necessary ^^) and after an injury I put all my energy into music. I taught myself to play the guitar and the piano and I took some singing lessons too!! I had a band since 2012 and I just enjoy doing gigs and playing in front of people (My band's named "Cornerstone" and we're on Youtube, not that popular but it'll come^^)
I'd be willing to teach some of the sutff that I know if anyone's interested.
I love reading books when I have the time to kick back and relax!
I also love watching good movies or videos that gives you chills and make you think!
One of my main interest too is to learn new languages. I'm a native French speaker, I learned English in America for a year, I've been staying in Germany for 5 months to brush my German, and now I'm in Argentina for two months to improve my Spanish.
The next languages I'd like to learn on my list are: Flemish (because I'm half Belgian) Italian and Portuguese, and also something uncommon like Chinese or Russian (May the force be with me)

Of course by learning new languages, it includes learning about new cultures, that's the best!

I'm also very intersted in History, therefore I want to study this subject at University because I absolutely love knowing all about what could have happened in the past und making the links with what's going on nowadays, that's some cool stuff =)

Overall, I have to say I can have an interest for pretty much anything. I'm really curious in general!

I loved movies such as "Into the Wild, Patch Adams, Circle of the Lost Poets, Hangover (also the stupid movies^^)
My favorite bands are "Mumford and sons, Ben Howard, Bastille, Kodaline" and any music with a guitar!
I loved reading books from Paulo Coelho or Eric-Emmanuel Schmidt, mostly romans or novels from French writers! But I realize also that I've mostly read school books!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most amazing thing I've ever done was to be able to go on an exchange year as I was 17. I feel very lucky to have been able to go on that experience! As I left my country, I felt very lucky to be able to experience a different culture with a local family! During a whole year I had the opportunity to live another life I would have never had the chance to live otherwise!

I could teach some of the languages I know! I'd be happy to teach somebody how to play the guitar or the piano or how to sing!

That's always awesome when you're travelling to learn of course about the culture, the language but also, it's terrific to learn new local recipes!! As I said, I'm interested about anything so I can learn from anything!!

I'd like to share my culture, my good mood and maybe some Swiss chocolate I might be carrying around with me =)
