About Me

Hey, I'm a 23 year old medical student who lives in Melbourne but loves to leave the country whenever my bank account allows it. I have taken a year off study after finishing my final exams and have been working to save up for a big trip before I enter the real world of work. I worked as a indoor rock climbing instructor during the day and at event first aid during the night to save money for my trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year I'm taking off to explore the US and the UK for the remainder of 2015. I love meeting locals so I can experience the real sights of a town. Being a uni student for the last 4 years I have experienced having someone new in my house every second week and love that way of living, so now I'm going to give it a go being on the other side of the story.

Interests

Playing music! Especially guitar, drums, piano and didgeridoo. Would be super keen to learn new songs or new instruments.
Sport - I play a lot of sport in Melbourne, and watch twice as much
The Outdoors - I love going camping and have been doing so since I could walk. Throw in water skiing or hiking and you have me sold.

Music, Movies, and Books

No shame in saying I am a massive Harry Potter nut!
Other awesome books I'd recommend - Life of Pi, Frankenstein, Kite Runner, Brief History of Time

Favourite Music - the list is way to long, big mentions are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Keys and a Melbourne band Sadskwatch (check them out!)

Films - Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, the Lion King

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had my passport stolen in Buenos Aires -actually turned out to be a hilarious and fun situation. Got to meet some local cops and visit the Australian Embassy which was pretty fancy pants. It proved a good lesson in seeing the positives.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach what little guitar skills I have, learn from those who already play and jam with anyone keen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will be able to share just about all I'll have travelling - my music, having a few beers and oversharing with my stories.
I'm trying to learn the tin whistle as I travel but I'll spare you the pain of sharing that.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Laos, New Zealand, Peru, Thailand, Viet Nam
