About Me

After finishing my Bachelors of Tourism (Professional training) in 2012 I decided to go travelling. At that stage, this decision it was basically to improve my languages till I discovered how amazing and enriching is to travel. Ever since, I have been traveling.

I went to Ireland to work as an au-pair for 9 months where I started to appreciate how good the Spanish sun is. I also realize of how impolite Spanish people are to the rest of world´s eyes; nevertheless I prefer that impolite way of being as it looks more real to me.

Afterwards I flew to New Zealand and I stayed there for a year traveling around and working in a Ferry. There I discovered that the sun can burn double due to a whole on the ozone layer. Believe me, that sun is not normal! I also learned that kiwi is not only fruit but a bird and also how New Zealanders are called: Kiwi people! Funny, ah?

Once I thought I´ve had enough of the "kiwi experience" I decided to head to France. I´ve always loved French language so it was time to learn it. I also learned that French people don´t hate Spanish people. That´s just a myth!

In 2014 I decided to go to University to study tourism and do what I like the most: learn about the travel industry and travel the world afterwards.

In 2015 I went back to France to do some volunteering work in Lourdes, holy city. There I found out how people are able to just dedicate their lives to God and the virgin. I am not religious at all.. so imagine my poker face everyday!

The beginning of 2016 I went to do an internship in Germany where I learned that the every German people owns a bike and they used it no matter how shitty is the weather like. I also learned that they are not as cold as we picture them!

In August 2016 I finished my degree in Tourism at Georgia Souther University in GA, USA. I had the most enriching and amazing experience of my life and it was so sad to leave the states but i am very excited about what comes next which I am not sure yet.

Currently, I started to work in a Caravan company and I all wanna do is to collect some money and leave again!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think is the best way of getting a local experience. There is no better way of learning about the country or region you are visiting than having the opportunity of talking to a local.

On the other hand, I really love meeting new people and sharing experiences. I find it an enriching way of traveling.

Interests

I love sports. Depending on what country I am in, I practice different sports. Sports I´ve practiced regularly are netball, basketball, running and swimming and surfing and hiking. Currently I only play basketball.

I am passionate about learning languages and traveling.

I like everything related with nutrition and healthy living.

Music, Movies, and Books

About music

I like pop/rock music with meaningful lyrics. From Aerosmith "I don´t want to miss a thing" to Adele " somebody like you"
Romantic music: James Blunt “Goodbye my lover"; Stevie Wonder " I just called to say I love you".
Art rock: Anthony and the Johnsons " Hope there´s someone.
Indie rock: Coco Rosie " Beautiful boyz"
And… why not a little bit of regaetoon to go dancing? I won´t mention any song here as they are all the same!

About movies:

Butterfly Effect, Indecent proposal, I am legend, Harry Potter, Avatar, Shrek, Ice Age, Hangover, The choristes, Karate Kid, Titanic, All Disney movies in general ( specially The little mermaid and Pocahontas)

About books:

I may admit I am not a big reader. I read mostly about psychology. Favorite authors: John N. Gray and Allan Pease

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think every few months the paragraph I could write here it would changed as every few months I have new goals and experiences. So, to give an example, 2 years ago, going traveling all around New Zealand with a campervan it was my "One amazing thing".
Now, the fact I´ve been accepted at a US university and that I am going to be able to live “the American dream" (let´s see how it goes) is pretty amazing to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a swimming instructor so if we have the time we could go for a swimming lesson.
I am a fan of sport nutrition and nutrition in general so I read a lot about it and I could share this knowloge.
I love cooking and I think I am good at it so I could give some tips and recipes.
I like to learn about anything I would say!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could share a good conversation and a good laugh with a really cold beer!
I could share my trips.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
