ABOUT ME

Describing yourself is such a hard thing to do. But i will try!
So, one thing you should know about me is that i don't take life to serious and you can always count on me for a joke! I'm up for any adventure and try to make the most out of every situation.
Another thing i will tell you about myself is that i do not need much sleep at all. I can survive on very little or just no sleep!

PHILOSOPHY

So i know, here i am supposed to tell you my philosophy of life and the life rules i swear by, but to be honest i don't really have any. I definitely am very interested in philosophy. So maybe that is also why i have not developed my own yet, i have red to many of other people! For now I would just say: make sure you enjoy yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This year I travelled in New Zealand, Australia and Asia. I stayed on many couches and loved it, so of course I wan't to experience the other side of couchsurfing. At the moment I have no couch to offer, but until I have I'll gladly show you around, take you out dancing or drink a beer with you at my favourite place!

I've had only great experiences with couchsurfing. If you ask me: there is no other way to travel the world!

Interests

There are lots of things i like to do. I really enjoy cooking. To me it is very satisfying if a dish has turned out well and i can see that people like it. Of course i also enjoy eating food, and especially sharing a good meal with other people. But who does't?!
Other things that i like to do are dancing, making music and going out to listen to live bands. Staying with the music theme: i love to sing. It generally makes me really happy. If i'm singing you'll know i've been having a good day.
The last thing i mention would have to be being outdoors, it is where we're supposed to be. Not much gives me a better feeling than being outside all day! I love camping, skiing, playing football, swimming etc..

Music, Movies, and Books

My love for music is never ending. At least every week i discover a new artist i like. I have a huge interest in hiphop, especially old school hiphop! Also soul, jazz and funk music have a big place in my heart. One artist i have to mention is Jimi Hendrix. There is something magical about his music!
I will give you a selection of the other artists i listen to: Amy winehouse, Nas, Souls of miscief, Otis Redding, Gang Starr, Bob Marley & the Wailers,CunninLynguists, Herbie Hancock, Curtis Mayfield, A Tribe Called Quest, J.J Cale, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Kinks, Fela Kuti, The Fugees, Nina Simone, Organized Konfusion,Nirvana, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, The Pharcyde, Sonny Rollins, The Police, Toots and The Maytals, Aretha Franklin, Solomon Burke, De La Soul, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, Fatoumata Diawara. This is only a small selection off the music i listen to, so you get the point: I like music!

Because i bored you long anough with the music I love, I will only mention one book and one movie. The movie that has had the biggest inpact on me has been Control, about the life of Ian Curtis, the lead singer of the band Joy Division. The book i feel is worth mentioning is Catcher in the rye. And i know, it's a cliche, but the book made me feel sad all through my bones. And i guess that is what i appreciate in a book!
