Overview
About Me
I guess my love of travel reflects on many aspects of my life.
First, I am a geography student, mostly focused on urban and biogeography as well as GIS.
Second, I have many foreign friends and relatives living all around the globe creating a vast network of visits and impressions.
And third, I've always been captured by diversity our planet can offer, from skyscrapers of Dubai to majestic fjords of Norway to temperate rainforest trails of Victoria, Australia, colours and beauty of our home has made a huge impact on my choices and love of travel.
Favourite destinations: Australia, Norway.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way to see a place from a local's perspective, and hoepfully engage in their insights about the place, as well as share stories with each others. Won't lie - it's also a great option of stay for a student backpacker.
Interests
I have been training in cross-country skiing for 7 years, also I love running, going to gym, cooking different foods from various cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Lana Del Rey as a musician and Americana culture token.
Can indulge in the melancholy of Highasakite, but also dance to the beats of Madonna.
Black Keys, St Vincent are my travel favourites at the moment.
Big fan of 90's and 80's music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to the Arctic Pole and swam there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can definitely teach languages: have six in mind.
Also, quite good at biodiversity issues and urban processes, which I am doing research on.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My stories from trips and life in the small country of Europe: Latvia.
Ideas and thoughts on globalisation, architecture, landscape history, culinary and lyrical movies.
Food: my favourites include cheese and antipasti + some wine and great music!
