About Me

Hey the one who is viewing my profile ;-)
I'm Yi-Fang from Taipei, Taiwan, now I live in Munich, Germany to do my master study.
My major in bachelor was tourism so I know many interesting travel spots in Taiwan.
Besides, I used to be an exchange student in Warsaw, Poland for a year, and had an internship in Palau (at a hotel) for three months.

I'd also traveled to more than 30 countries. It’s really amazing to saw those historical relics and natural scenery which could be seen only in the textbook in reality, As the proverb goes, In order to attain wisdom, it is not enough merely to read books, you must be well traveled as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was in Krakow, Poland :)
and recently, my goal is to tour/host foreigners in Taiwan, wish they could all have a nice memory in Taiwan!

For foreign CS in Taiwan, I'll recommend you to visit those places in Taipei:

1. Yuanshan Station nearby: Take MRT to Yuanshan Station exit 2, rent the U Bike (public bicycle in Taipei) and first, ride to Dalongdong Baoan Temple and The Taipei Confucius Temple (located adjacent to the Baoan Temple). Then ride around the Taipei Expo Park, when you cross the park and reach to Bin Jiang Street, there’s a Lin An Tai Historical House & Museum (a nice place and has less tourist).

2. Ximen Station nearby: The Red House in Ximen (many cultural & creative products inside), Ximending pedestrian area (A place for young people and mango ice!).

3. Longshan Temple Station nearby: Lungshan Temple, Bopiliao Historic Block, Huaxi Street Tourist Night Market.

4. Dadaocheng region(most historic area in Taipei):Take MRT to Beimen Station, visit Dihua Street, Taipei Xiahai City God Temple, Lin Liu-Hsin Puppet Theatre Museum, Dadaocheng Wharf ...

5. Jiufen+One day ticket for Pingxi Line (Ruifang Station, Houtong Cat Village, Shifen waterfall, Pingxi, Jingtong) A very famous railway line in taipei, those stations are all local villages

also Tamsui (sunsets, seafood, historical sites), Wu Lai (hot springs and aboriginal culture), Yehliu Geopark (unique geological formations)... and also many others, I think I need a whole article to write about traveling spots in Taipei LOL !!!

Interests

I like to travel~~~ and trying new things and ... speak German haha!
I actually enjoy very much touring the foreigners in Taiwan, and having cultural exchange with them by learning each other's culture, sharing local foods with them and introduce the famous spots of Taipei to my foreign friends.
