About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as many cultures and people as possible. To never stop. Learning, doing, moving. And, if possible, go beyond Earth!

ABOUT ME

I guess I'm somewhat of a shy person. I tend to reserve my thoughts. I can have a bad mood in the morning, but only before coffee! Sometimes I get easily distracted and can take some time to open myself and talk to others.

I'm also very curious and always try to seek to learn something new. I love trying new things. I believe everyone has something to teach others and I like to think I'm open to hear them. I try to enjoy moments and smile whenever I can. I try my best to help others the best way. I'm open minded (jeez, surprised to read this on a CS profile? I had to include it, come on... :D) and always try to see different points of view. Besides, I'm also cute! ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, surf and just hangout with people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surf experience has been amazing so far. I've made wonderful friends and met interesting people from around the world.
I can safely say that I've made some close relationships with the people I met and I even ended up visiting them at their home town.

Interests

I love to work and to design projects tailored for a broad and different audience. It challenges me and I love seeing their faces when trying it for the first time! :D

Flight is my passion! As a result I am very jealous of birds. I do some Paragliding to try and give them some payback. I also build my own drones and fly them, usually very fast. Then I crash and re-build them. The endless cycle of pain (for my wallet!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say my ERASMUS experience was one of the turning points of my life.

Both my trips to Asia have been absolutely amazing. I have met amazing people.

My last 3 month trip with special mention of the 1 month I spent in Turkey

Hiking for 8 days in the accursed mountains in Albania.

Traveling for 8 months in the Balkans. Ending up living in Serbia for 3.

Helping organize the March for science in Lisbon

Learning how to Paraglide. I will never forget the feeling of taking off alone, for the first time.

Getting into FPV drones. When you are in the flow state and feel you can fly anywhere, as fast as you want. Then you crash into a tree.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that Software can't really give you a truly random number? Most of the time a computer uses a mathematical formula to calculate it. Given the same variables (e.g. CPU's clock time), it will always return the same number. You can not tell a machine to choose something, only to follow a specific instruction. Of course you can then argue that that's true for the entire universe, if you believe we live in a deterministic one. But that involves a talk about philosophy, quantum physics and what not! Maybe we can talk about it over a beer ;P

Did you know that if you folded a paper around 42 times you would reach the Moon? That is roughly 384,000 km! And 50 folds? You would reach the sun! 149 597 871 kilometers! 92 times? The size of the observable universe! It is all thanks to exponential mathematics!

Wanna learn how to effectively crash drones and then repair them yourself?! Well, you came to the right place!!! ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My stories, my hospitality and my terrible jokes! I can share my love for "big questions", science, movies, video games, art in general, etc. If you like to debate "undebatable" subjects, like why is the universe like this, or why does life exist, then you came to the right person! We can talk about that all night and smile at the end when we reach no conclusion at all. :)

Wanna learn more about my culture? Just ask! But please, teach me about yours! I love to learn new stuff.

And, as always, please make yourself comfortable!
