Overview
About Me
I am currently building a tiny home. After being miserable in apartments for 5 years, and not wanting to settle anywhere yet, I've decided to build my own house on wheels. Oh, and i have no idea how to build anything. I'm here to get a little help along the way as well as meet the interesting folks that make up our planet. Let's swap stories.
To my knowledge, I have never let anyone down. I don't smoke or drink or use drugs. No kids.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Honestly, I am not sure I should say. Here goes... I have nowhere to live. Dad lives in Houston and i need to be near Denton. Mom kicked me out for not being Christian. It was ugly. My host family supported me for a while but eventually said one day, "we love you, but we can't keep you here." No friends have room for me, or they also live far. Many tried. I made a promise to myself that i would never rent another apartment alone, and i am damn committed to keeping that promise. I was a survival guide with plenty means of surviving without sacrificing the time i need to build my home and grow my business for the children it helps. I dont take up any space at all, so i decided to try couch surfing.
Interests
Story telling is my number one interest. I am trying to do a good job telling my own on youtube. I get bored easily in every day life and strive to hear all the funny stories behind scars and interesting life decisions.
Other than that, i draw comics, play guitar sometimes, train my parkour, play with my camera, i am one hell of a cook, and i learn whatever skills i need to grow my business.
Music, Movies, and Books
There is a song for every mood, but i've never been in the mood for country or rap on the radio.
I wish i read more books. There are some stories that have stuck despite me not being much of a reader:
The epic of gilgamesh
1984
Plato's allegory of the cave
The ones who walk away from omelas
The egg
A very old man with enormous wings
Movies:
Anything with Simon pegg.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Umm... I once jumped off a bridge in ecuador. It wasn't a bunjee. It was a static line; a big swing that pulls you mid front flip. The guys running it didn't speak english. It was an 80 foot jump over rocky white water.
Teach, Learn, Share
I agree. We all should.
What I Can Share with Hosts
When my tiny house is done, come stay with me. Until then, I cook, clean, and am away from the house a lot with my own car. If you need any quick errands run, i can save you a trip. Then i have a long list of unique skills: parkour instruction, basic car repair knowledge, videography, photography, real camping 101, art, and construction and house repair basics. Let me know what you need.
