About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make every place I spend time in, a better place

ABOUT ME

I am busy all the time (someone calls me "busy bee") because I love to do my best in whatever I am engaged in. During the pandemics, I managed to make my job fully online and have found more time to be in contact with nature. I look after my beautiful permacultural garden 90 minutes away from Buenos Aires.

I love momevent, so I bike to work even though I live in a very busy city. I do circle dancing and ADORE the sea. I love snorkeling and scuba diving.

I also love skiing and trecking (easy) in the mountains. I would rather did cross country rather than downhill, which I can easily do. I am an activist in ecology and I do care about the damage downhill skiing (among other practices) can do to the environment. At home we do not throw much trash away. We wash everything that can be reused or reduced and give it to recycling centers.

I have travelled widely and love languages. This is why I love meeting people from different cultures.

I have no pets. I love animals but I prefer to see them in the wild. A dog or a cat would not allow so many hummingbirds to feed from the flowers in my little garden.

One of my favourite activities in this city is to take my grandchildren and grandnieces (ages 2 to 6) to places. They are lots of fun to share time with.

I regularly meet a group to practice NVC (Non Violent Communication) which is a process through which you can learn, among many other things, to be honest about your feelings and needs without being afraid of being rejected for doing so.

PHILOSOPHY

To be a life long learner STAY curious about yourself, nature and the others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have offered my couch and would like to offer it again. Right now, I can host people in either my small apartment in Buenos Aires or in my earthern bioclimatic house in an ecovillage 90 min away (by car) from Buenos Aires.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a Japanese girl and a Spanish woman visiting. Both were very enriching experiences. I have also stayed with marvellous people in Barcelona, Narbonne, Valence and Paris. That was in May 2014.
I have also stayed in Bilbao and Alegría Dulantzi (The Basque Country). That was in March 2016. I stayed at Lisandro's in Mar Del Plata and with Anila in San Juan. Last year I stayed with a lovely young couple in Alicante and in Elche (Spain).
I will be forever thankful to those generous couch-surfing hosts who made my trip unforgettable.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read all kinds of books in my life, but mostly books on personal development, spirituality, psychology, accelerated learning, nutrition and healthy food.

Music: world music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled on my own around Nepal. Snorkelled in crystal clear Mexican underground rivers (Cenotes). Slept in a tent in an Indian desert after a camel ride.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Non Violent Communication, English, Spanish, a bit of Portuguese, Circle Dance, preparing really nice healthy meals and simple ecology for a city dweller.
I can also give you great tips on travelling in Argentina and Brazil.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Basically what I am: a curious life long learner with a passion for people and how they can make the most of the amazingly interesting experience of being alive on this planet.

I can also share my latest hobby: preparing "pasta" without flour and lovely desserts without using added sugar or flour.
