I would describe myself as a pilgrim. I love traveling, I have recently returned France after 7 years abroad (including 3 years only dedicated to travels)...and I am currently planning my next adventures...
I am not working for the moment so I have some time for meetings!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great idea! So far I've been always amazed to see how cool it is to help each other and meet people in general!
Staying at someone's place while traveling has always been, I my opinion, the most valuable experiences I've ever had!

Usually when I travel I use CS if I have to stay in a city, because I like making new friends, I may not be able to camp, I can't take too much of hostel conversations and otherwise I have noticed that it is almost impossible to have a good connection with locals (busy, in a hurry, bored of tourists, stressed, irrational collective fears of the unknown, the difference...). For that CS is an incredible icebreaker that eliminate a lot of difference between us!

My absolute dream is that one day we might just have to knock on doors to see them opening and being accepted for who we all are: another human kind.

Just one last thing, about verified members... I don't want to be rude to anyone and I respect the choice of being verified if that means for you that you want to support financially CS (I will probably do it one day also for that same reason...). Otherwise, trust, for me, has nothing to do with the fact that you have paid for a free website (already containing ad's).... ;-) Only our behavior will bring trust within the community. Anyone, including perverts, psychos, or all other kind of aggressive people may ask their bank to provide a credit card...So where is the trust with this system? Maybe think by yourself before you reject anyone just based on this only criteria...
I believe that this project is wonderful therefore shouldn't we try to keep it simple, free and fun for everyone?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some bike or hiking trips around the world.
Crossed south America without a drop of gas...
Was the first man to cross Titicaca lake by pedal boat (seriously!)...
Accomplished several pilgrimages (ie. Santiago, Fatima...).
And some other stuff that we can discuss if you want!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have checked recently and I have more than enough free space in my mind for anything you would like to teach/show me! I am curious about everything!
I could seriously need of dance teaching for example :)
I would love to practice my Spanish, because I start to lose it and that is such a petty!
I have started as a cook so I can teach some french kitchen.
Also if you intend to come by bicycle I can help you with repairs/maintenance. Same if you experience troubles with computer, smartphone any electronic of your stuff...(I worked as an IT technician)!
