To be honest, I am a normal human. But a good one - like the most people on earth.

I grew up very countryside in a small village in the northwest of Germany.
Meanwhile, I am thankful to have the possibilities to visit this world and I bother to discover it.

My first real travel-experience was New York City when I was 18. You can imagine, from a small german village directly to Manhattan, it was a cultural shock. But this shock was invaluable for me because I recognized, that there is "more" than just my little homeland in this world. I am indescribable thankful recognizing that I have a home in this world, there are to many people who do not have. And it`s always a pleasure to come home after a trip. But you have to leave if you want to come home. :)

Meanwhile, I am not a travel-specialist but I would call me a well-experienced amateur traveller and I recognized, that travelling is much more than discover different landscapes, cuisines, "things" and enjoy nice weather. Travelling becomes "alive", if you get in touch with people and exchange your view to the world from totally different perspectives. Sometimes it`s just a short experience, a little conversation while drinking a beer that changes your view to the world a little bit...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hopefully good.
The primary purpose for me is to meet people from all over the world and to build up friendships with them. I appreciate it to do so in connection with discovering new countrys and cities. But, more over, I would enjoy to meet other couchsurfer everywhere. Whether I am a guest or not.
Further I would appreciate to host people at my place, well aware that I am not living at the absolutely "place to be" but neither on the moon... ;-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience to be a guest, I enjoyed it. I needed a whole year to make a first step but I am sure: The first step is always the hardest!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am very open-minded in connection with music and I can enjoy nearly all genres apart from metal music. I like it to dance with music.

Books: To be honest, I read not many books (apart from necessary non-fiction books). Nevertheless, books are wonderful and I hope to find more time, someday...

Movies: No special genre. I like fantasy, scifi but also comedy and romantic. Depends on mood and situation. :) But I am not a couch potato! A good movie at the weekend and sometimes a visit to the cinema, that´s all...
