About Me

I am a physician in my country, Myanmar or Burma, and worked with Doctors Without Boarders for several missions. From August 2013 until now, I have been studying my master degree in Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, United States as a Fulbright Exchange Scholar.

It has been a memorable and valuable experience to be a student again in a foreign country which widens my vision and allows me to appreciate more about cultural diversities and humanity.

I would tell myself as a very cool and easy going guy, but respectable and responsible person at the same time. I love the sense of humor and adventures. Traveling, making friends with random strangers, learning different cultures, enjoying the history and nature and recording of those memories with my camera are some of my self indulgences. During my stay in the United States, I couldn't escape from falling in love with backpacking, camping, other outdoor activities or making road trips.

Additionally, I am also kind of athletic. I could be a decent player at playing Pool, Football and Ping Pong.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering with Doctors Without Borders as a physician and saving lives with my own hands. Really proud about it and hope to do more.

Teach, Learn, Share

Knowledge change the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Definitely about my country, Myanmar or Burma, which was pretty mysterious and isolated by the rest of the world for several decades. I could say about the uniqueness of Myanmar (such as food, people, culture, politics, travel destination, etc.) which you may not have never read or heard about before.

I would also love to share my experiences as an international student in the United States, as a physician with Doctors Without Boarders and I think I could ultimately share anything about me.

And we could try some traditional Myanmar dishes. :)

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Singapore, Thailand, United States
