About Me

ABOUT ME

I had an amazing experience backpacking in South America and meeting incredible people, and I was hoping I could do the same in Portugal. So I hosted a couple of people in my house back in the day - I'm 25 but like to speak as if I were 60... I've since lived in the Netherlands, studying, then in Italy, doing some "research" in the middle of nowhere, and finally in the UK, having a serious business job which I've since left. Now I'm moving to Brussels.

I am outgoing, relaxed and I do not plan things in advance - which is often really cool and occasionally quite annoying. I like those talk-listen exchanges people have all the time. I've been told I'm entertaining.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like hosting, being a guide to cute now-so-popular Lisbon. Surfing is cool too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted couchsurfers in my house in Lisbon. Wanted to do more of it but unfortunately when other people moved in with me I couldn't talk them into it. I did surf once, in Montevideo, Uruguay, officially, and many times hosting and staying with travel friends a bit all around the world.

Interests

I like swimming, surfing, and writing horrible fiction and lyrics. I try to play the guitar too - no one else takes my lyrics - and to take some pictures. On the more serious spectrum, I like to discuss Politics, Economics, Philosophy and a number of other pseudo-intellectual topics.

  • writing
  • politics
  • traveling
  • backpacking
  • surfing
  • soccer
  • swimming
  • economics
  • beaches

Music, Movies, and Books

On the music side, I used to like mostly rock, electronic/alternative rock, bossanova/tropicalism and folk. Due to living in other places and feeling the need to integrate and to a good immigrant, I've added to this:
- incredible cantautori italiani such as de Andre, Battiato and Guccini
- reggaeton because of Chile (and other less embarrassing tastes like Chico Trujillo)
- crap electronic and trance because of the netherlands
- fabulous giles peterson because of the UK
and please help me expand the list

I've read many classics and can pretend I've read many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That would be backpacking through south america on my own, and, at the end of the trip, reaching Machu Picchu!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm bringing a fox and a koala with me (stuffed toys) and you can play with them.
