Traveling the world
ABOUT ME
I love traveling the globe to visit new places and people to learn all about their culture and lifestyle. Living in a multi-cultural and multi-racial country like Singapore has made me more open-minded to different cultures and allows me to have a deeper appreciation of new cultures and beliefs.. I would love to learn more about your country and culture when we do meet! (:
Another reason I love traveling: all the wonderful and interesting friends I get to make! People in different countries have different perspectives/outlook on life and I would love to you and hear your opinion on just about anything under the sun!
FOOD!! Singapore is well-known for being a food paradise but my taste buds can get bored after living here for 20+ years. I would travel just to look for food that can challenge and excite my taste buds!
Although I love to travel, I wouldn't really call myself an adrenaline junkie as I do have my fears as well (fear of heights and skydiving etc etc), but I might just give it a try some day. But other than that, there's not much really that can dampen my appetite for a little adventure. (:
PHILOSOPHY
"What counts is not the number of years in your life, but the Life in those years."
- I believe in living my life to the fullest, but sometimes life in the city can really get you jaded and make you lose sight of your goals, which is why traveling the world is so important to me.
My personal guide to life:
Reflect on the past - for those who don't learn from past mistakes are bound to repeat them again.
Plan for the future - for those who fail to plan, plan to fail.
But don't neglect the present - for fleeting moments, once missed, are gone forever. Live, love, laugh and bring joy to those around you. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently traveling around Europe and surfing whenever I can! Loving the experience so far! The spirit of Couch Surfing is really awesome and everyone is a friend! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, all the hosts that I have met are such wonderful people and they are really embodiments of the CouchSurfing spirit! Although I am new to CouchSurfing, my experiences so far with meeting new people via CouchSurfing has been a very positive one and I look forward to future exchanges!
Interests
In my free time I try to keep fit by running, swimming and cycling. Some of my more sedentary hobbies would be getting hooked onto the occasional online MMORPG, xbox, playstation games etc.
During weekends, I go cafe-hunting armed with a book or a bunch of close friends and we explore the small hidden streets in Singapore lined with quaint eateries and cozy cafes, where we spend the whole afternoon talking and catching up.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music interests lie in both classical and popular music. I play regularly for a classical guitar ensemble in my university and have been playing classical guitar for almost 7 years now.
For pop music, I listen to whatever occasionally enters the top charts although my favourite artists are particularly Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Elton John etc. I'm also sort of a oldies junkie so I really enjoy songs that were from the 80s or 90s, when songs were written with lyrics that actually meant something.
Moves: Action blockbusters, comedy, occassionally romance flicks

Teach, Learn, Share
I think couchsurfing really embodies the spirit of Karma - what goes around comes around.
When we get hosted by somebody, we should not only appreciate them but also spread the kindness and in return, host someone else in need, don't you think so? (:
