About Me

I'm a pleasant, curious, simple person. I like to cook (vegetarian) meals and desserts (chocolate and earl grey tart is one of my favorites). Commuting by bike is my way to stay active and get fresh air. I like visual arts, swimming in big waves, hiking and camping, contemporary art, and get-togethers/partys with friends.

My pleasures in life: smelling fresh homemade bread, cycling at night, watching my plants grow, rooftops, dancing, drinking beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sharing experiences, traveling the world and hosting a bit!

Interests

I am interested in many things really. I love any kind of visual art (cinema, design, photography, drawing, architecture). I like a good party, to grab a beer on a rooftop or to discover the small shops only the locals know (when traveling).

Music, Movies, and Books

Cinema: any movies from Lars Von Trier, Wes Anderson, Xavier Dolan, Quentin Tarantino. I like directors in whom we can recognize a signature, a style.

Music: Depends on the mood. Bon Iver, Buena Vista Social Club, Alt-J, Devendra Banhart, Grimes, Rhye, The XX, Suuns...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cycled from Vancouver to Winnipeg. I saw the Rockies and the Prairies for the first time and doing it by bike was amazing. At the top of the Rockies, I felt so small. Everything was so silent. In the Prairies, because I could see mirages 50km ahead on the road, I felt like in the desert. Canada is huge; in only two provinces the landscape changed so much. I never thought I could see this in my own country.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Egypt, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guadeloupe, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
