About Me
OK, so this is the bit I'm usually really crap at.
Maybe it's because I'm British, maybe it's just me but I'm not very good at blowing my own trumpet.
I'm an active person. I love doing sports. I'll take on almost any sporting challenge. The more difficult the better.
I can be rather seclusive and introverted but if the chemistry is right I can talk all night.
I love to laugh and can be rather childish. Even if my German side does more than often show it's serious face.
I'm a very curious person and interested in many things and expericing new and wonderful things. Maybe one day I'll be the proverbial cat that curiosity killed but until then..
I have an open heart and an open mind. My biggest strengths are my passion (which can lead to hefty debates if I disagree), compassion, empathy and warm heart.
I hope that's enough for the start. To find out more about me we're just going to have to meet.
Check out my Instagram profile if you want to see more about me. Same name as here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people and experience the local lifestyle.
I've met so many great people and so many great experiences.
Couchsurfing has been like therapy for me.
Interests
Rugby, rugby and more rugby.
Music, Movies, and Books
I know it sounds clichéd but I like almost all music. There's not much I don't listen to.
I love electronica (be it NIN or Kraftwerk) to Jazz and blues (huge Miles Davis and Robert Johnson fan) via Tuvan throat singing (Hun Huur Tu is all I have to say). More than likely you name it and I'll listen to it.
Books - what do I say. Not much of a reader. Having to read so much for uni and suffering from mild dyslexia can takes the fun of it. So let's just move on.
I love comedy films. I love to laugh. I love children's films. Films that make your belly hurt, your eyes tear with laughter and your heart glow.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen babies come into this world which is pretty amazing (if what a bit gross sometimes). Even if it's not your own child.
And I've seen many an amazing sunrise and sunset. One of the most amazing spectacles that mother nature has to offer.
I took part in the Arosa snow run this year (2017) and ran up the Weisshorn trail. 16km. Finishing at 2643m and an Elevation gain of over 900m.
I also took part in the CRUX Ultramarathon which was meant to be 54km but I got lost twice and ended up doing 57km.
I spent New Year`s Eve on the side of the Rigi in a sleeping bag.
I`ve traveled from Narbonne via Cannes, Nizza, Como, Würzburg through the Alps on a motorbike.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you are interested I can teach you about the wonderful world of rugby and a bit about the place that I call home that is God's country - Wales.
