About Me
ABOUT ME
I graduated from university in May 2015 and then traveled through Europe (France, Catalonia, Italy, the Netherlands) and the Middle East for 2.5 months. I WWOOF'd in Normandy, France and and worked on Kibbutz Harduf in Northern Israel before backpacking in the Golan Heights.
Two years ago I studied in Jerusalem and conducted research in Tel Aviv for the summer. I also visited Jordan, Palestine, Greece, Cyprus, Istanbul, Budapest, Berlin, and Dublin. Seeing the world is my top priority and one of the great pleasures of my life has been enjoying the different food that I come across and then learning how to cook it at home. Friends and I have started a tradition of cooking vegetarian/gluten free/nut free shabbat dinner on fridays while drawing on Middle Eastern/California/Eastern Coast US traditions to create delicious meals. I want to be as well traveled as possible!
This year my vacation time is limited but my schedule is as follows:
PHILOSOPHY
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a very scrappy guy and I can take what life throws at me but I've slept in too many 30 bed hostel dorms in my life. I don't like to party with big drunken hoards of strangers so I have a hard time making friends in those situations. I love getting to know someone over good food or good drinks instead. I'm hoping to make good friends over couch surfing who I can host in Washington DC next year when I have a full time job.
