Overview
About Me
I love to cook, scubadiving, photography and the ocean. That's why I am undertaking my PhD on marine biology and that is the reason I am travelling to Sydney in May.
Interests
If you're looking for me in Portugal, you have a better chance to find me if you look at the Atlantic ocean. Whether it is diving, photographing, fishing (all kinds of fishing but most likely spearfishing), boating and walking my dogs at the beach, I'm allways around saltwater. I guess I'm Ironborn, go figure! :P
While working, I'm usually at the University of Aveiro, where I am doing my PhD in Symbiodinium ecology, which is basically saying that I study the little alga that allows coral reefs to be such incredible ecossystems. Have you heard that coral reefs are dying? That they are bleeaching? Well yeah, that happens when they interrupt the symbiosis with Symbiodinium and expell them from their tissues. We can talk more about this when and if we meet :)
The other thing that my friends would describe about me is that I am a good cook (usually). I have allways loved to cook and try new styles. If it's food, I'm up for that too!
