About Me
I'm Patrik, 27, originally living in Budapest, Hungary. In a parallel universe I'd be sitting in front of my desk in an office and working on boring, but "super-important" tasks. Luckily, here I've decided to explore the cultures and countries across Europe (at first). Right now, I'm on my sabbatical leave, doing volunteering for accommodation (aka work exchange).
I consider myself an open minded, self-conscious, always-positive person who wants to add his best to the world. I enjoy meeting people from around the world. Exchanging and learning different culture help me to learn about myself every day.
Story time: One day, one of my colleagues in our office suddenly stood up and left the company. He didn't give a fck that he's a quite good job with a reasonable salary, he bought a one-way ticket to Spain and started volunteering. After 8 months, he came home and told me his story. I was fascinated by his adventures, his attitude and courage, mostly because I started to compare it my comfortable, convenient and mostly boring life in the office. It helped me realizing that I have seen nothing in the world and I never will if I don't kick myself out of my comfort zone.
Useless facts:
- I collect my waste selectively
- I prefer self-checkout machines over cashiers
- I read books and recommend them to my friends
- I've been on so many tinder dates I'm not even able to count them
- I'm a confident English-speaker with full of mistakes
- I love memes
- I'm my family's IT department

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not really amazing, but one of my fav story:
When I was about 20 years old, me and one of my friend went drinking some beers one evening in the summer. Later on the same night, when we were already heading home, found a parking car with a slightly open door. Since we were a bit drunk (haha), we decided to warn the owner to be more careful next time in a strange way: we totally cleaned the car.. :D
