About Me
Hi there! :) My name is Thomas and I'm 28 years old. I'm half Danish, a quarter English and a quarter Scottish. I live in Copenhagen, where I'm currently in the progress of completing my master's degree in Political Science. However, I grew up in a small town in the northern part of Denmark. In my spare time I like to play music, watch movies, have fun with family and friends, going to music festivals, meet new people and experience new cultures.
Four years ago I went to a Danish højskole, which is kind of a boarding school, where you basicly go to learn more about yourself and meet new friends. It's a very Danish thing to do as a young person. My højskole specialized in Music, which was great. :D
I have never travelled that much - originally because of a lack of funds, but later because of covid. However, I want to change that. So I'm currently on a trip around the Western Balkans on my own for about a month. But I have hitchhiked a fair amount around Scotland and Denmark, and I really like it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have never travelled alone or couchsurfed before, but it seems like a great way to meet local people, and experience the culture in a more genuine way. So now I want to give it a try. :)
Interests
I have played the piano since I was 10 years old. I especially love to play blues, funk and jazz. I recently played in my education's revue (a satirical play with musical segments), which was amazing. :D And I also played a lot of music at my højskole. I'm also very interested in history, urban planning and politics.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music of all genres, but especially funk and jazz music. Some of my favourite artists include Tom Misch, Vulfpeck, Mac Miller, Mac Demarco, First Aid Kit, Anomalie, Bon Iver and Norah Jones. I'm not a big reader, but have always loved the Harry Potter books since I was a child. My taste in movies are pretty diverse and some of my favourites would probably be One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, In Bruges and Hitchcock-movies in general.
