About Me
Hello :-)
My name is Hana, I have a daughter Olivia.
I have studied pre-school education for 5 years at University (3 years at South Bohemian University - Bachelor degree, folowing at Charles University in Prague - Master degree).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and exploring new places in a less "tourist" way; I love to discover authentic lifestyle, I like to talk to local people.
I believe this is the real way to learn more about different cultures!
Interests
I have spent my childhood in a village, I love nature, gardening, growing fruit and vegetables. I can make marmelades, jams... I like cooking and baking.
I became scout when I was young; now - as a "grown-up" - I am a scout leader. I regularly go to 3-week summer camp to our forests with a big group of children; we sleep in tents or tee-pees.
I like hiking, sleeping in my sleeping bag "under the stars" or in a tent.
I love travelling, new adventure, exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love films: mostly art films. My favourite directors are Tim Burton, Kubric, Woody Allen.
I like especially "Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind", "Mood Indigo", "Blue is the warmest colour", "Shining"...
There are many more - it would have been too long a list!
Music - I listen to many styles; from rock to more "alternative" scene (such as Björk, Sigur Ros, Nick Cave...)
I also love to going to their concerts.
Books: I love reading - for example "magical realism" from Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Eric Fromm, Nick Cave, Robert Fulghum, Haruki Murakami, Albert Camus.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most important "thing" is not a "thing", actually.... It is the fact that I am a mom of my beautiful daughter Olivia.
I can think of nothing more important!
I also assist my 92-year-old grandmother, who lives alone on a farm far from any town.
In my teen-age years I won several National Maths Competitions...
I have also organised found-raising for local handicapped people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could talk for hours about our local history, traditions, lifestyle.
I can provide maps and information about local sights...
I am full of information about children; about their games, mentality, psychology.
I could cook or bake for you our local dishes and specialities.
