I'm a 22 year-old student from Berlin. Obviously, I like traveling but whether I'm on the go or staying Berlin, it's always great to see new places, to do new things and to meet new interesting people. I love being social, doing stuff with other people and having conversations or discussions.

Besides so many other interesting things in life, I'm really curious of everything somehow connected to history, culture and politics. When I find the time, I like to cook, do sports, go to concerts/ the cinema/theater or just hang out at a park and read.

Since I'm a big lover of music and literature, I am always keen to add something to my vinyl or book collection. I like going to clubs and bars, there's always something going on in Berlin.

How I participate on Couchsurfing

I like to stay with couchsurfers to see how people in foreign countries live their everyday life's and of course socialize with them as much as possible. When I got the time and the opportunity in my flat, I like to host people as well and show them around in Berlin.

Couchsurfing Experience

I am on Couchsurfing for a bit more than 2 years now. I made great experience with Couchsurfing on my first bigger trips through Europe and on my 2 month trip through the UK last year. I also hosted a few people in my flat in Berlin as well.

(Travel) Philosophy

My preferable way to explore a city is just to walk around, observe and later settle somewhere for a beer or a coffee rather than chopping off a list with touristic things a guide book has told me to do. My understanding of 'traveling' is more that I want to get an authentic view how locals live. That is much more thrilling to me than queuing long hours and paying lots of money for sights.
