ABOUT ME

One half of my family is in Finnland and the other half in Germany.
I feel at home in both of my home countries, though I currently live in Hamburg, Germany with my wife. Living in two cultures made me very interested in other people, places and lifestyles. It also reflects in the way I am. I am good to talk to about serious stuff and love to do new, crazy stuff with my friends. I play inline- & ice-hockey a real team sport and go climbing. I am very active, but love being in the nature alone. I can go on and on in my profile about who I am and can be quiet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first tried CS at home hosting and at a local CS event. Now I am enjoying surfing in the US and Canada for the summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking to Annapurna Base Camp. Standing on a terrace in Finland in winter, watching the stars and hearing - nothing (something you seldom experience in todays busy world). Eating blueberry pancakes made at the camping fire on the shores of a lake.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot about energy, especially green one, and how that strange mysterious world works, if anybody is interested in that. I can tell stories about all the good stuff that I have had the opportunity to enjoy. I can teach you some Finnish words and phrases like "you talk, I hold the horse" (and even their meaning :-)).
