We are Ana and Miguel, from Colombia and currently living in Australia. I (Ana) just finished my postgraduate studies in Development Practice and Communication for Social Change. Miguel is a Journalist who loves music, food and laugh. We'll be traveling around South East Asia from January until March and we want to connect with local people in their real lives. We are an open minded, easy goers and respectful couple.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We created this account last year but we haven't been able to travel with Couchsurfing yet. We are getting prepared to start a journey of almost 3 months in Southeast Asia after living in Australia for more than 2 years and before getting back to Colombia for a new start. We don't want to be just tourists in this journey and limit to visit the 'most go' places. We would love to travel with the guidance and accompaniment of those who live in each place and have a more meaningful experience. We would also love to share with people about our cultural differences and similarities. Miguel particularly loves to dig into the history of the countries and how their present is shaped by the past. We are all citizens of the world making us both hosts and travelers, countrymen.
