ABOUT ME

A Turkish traveller living in rainy England with the hope of getting decent education. Just kidding, I do love England and the student life here in Leeds. But I cannot deny that I am missing my lovely, sunny country from time to time.

I am a passionate environmentalist with the life-long dream of making a change in the energy sector (ie use the sun..effectively). Sounds unrealistic, I know, but meh it doesn't hurt to dream does it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, this would be a long story to write here, so just a summary, me and my cousin were in Paris with no hostel booked for the night, as we didn't mind sleeping outside for a coupla hours then were planning on taking the train to our next stop and thought we could save some pennies. Then it started raining. And we definitely weren't prepared for that in the slightest (I really should have been considering that I live in England, but life eh) and ended up signing up on here trying to find some nice person to host us for the night. With the little internet we had, unfortunately I couldn't do it myself, but our friend in Turkey somehow found us this girl called Marie and even though she was busy till midnight, she agreed to host us and my God I don't remember being happier to sleep on a sofa bed.

So yeah, I live in a shared house (of 6) in Leeds, so might be a struggle to get fellow travellers in but I will do my best as I know how helpful this can be. Just give me at least a week's notice though :)
