About Me

Hey Everyone! I'm very new to couch surfing but I would love to give it a shot, so here we go.
I'm originally from Cologne, Germany but currtenly live in the beautiful town of Maastricht in the Netherlands. I am enrolled at the Liberal Arts College and study Sociology and Political Science. Otherwise, I'm really enthusiastic about meeting new people, and spending some quality time with people I like. Apart from that, I love literature and philosophy, cooking, traveling (as I assume everyone on couch surfing) as well as sporty stuff like running, hiking, long-distance bike touring and alpinism. I love to explore cities and hang out in beautiful cafes and museums as well as spend some time with good ol' mother nature, preferably somewhere on a mountain.

Apart from that, I'm easily excited about trying all kinds of new stuff - currently, I am practicing my Dutch and trying to start climbing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess I am on courchsurfing to meet likeminded spirits that love to roam the earth. I have only heard beautiful things about the couch surfing community and I would love to be part of this community of nomads and hear your stories and share mine.

Interests

Not much more to say, I think I summed it up quite nicely in the introduction.

  • culture
  • running
  • traveling
  • music
  • cycling
  • nature
  • wild camping
  • meeting interesting people
  • reading and writing
  • hiking in the mountains

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a bit of a weird music taste, but some things I like are:

Slow and sad indie Folk
Eurodance
Dark House and Techno

In terms of books, there is simply too many I like but I pride myself on having read David Foster Wallace's magnus opum 'Infinite Jest' (including the footnotes!). Please don't ask me about it unless you want me to fall into an hour-long tantrum.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bought a car in New Zealand and travelled around with it for three months. That was pretty rad, but I guess it's not that impressive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach anyone some German or English and would equally love to improve my Dutch with anyone. Apart from that, I can teach you how to cook stuff and we can talk forever about my favorite philosophers of the 20th century if you let me.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Hong Kong, Netherlands
