About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make friends from all around the world
ABOUT ME
I am quite an open person. I have lived in few countries around Europe and made friends all around the globe.
I enjoy long chats, baking, playing all sort of board games and all kind of creative activities. I painted and drew a lot when I was younger. Now I am exploring music and black and white analogue photography.
I love nature as well and enjoy long hikes in the mountains.
PHILOSOPHY
Never say never
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A big couch and a double inflatable matress are open for guests in my flat. Couchsurfing is all about a different travelling concept to experience cities through locals, travel cheap, meet and trust other people. If you want to experience Knoxville and meet me, you are welcome to request my couch. PLEASE, absolutely do not request my couch if you are looking for a place to stay for more than two weeks. I have received a lot of requests from people looking for accommodation for months. I think this is not what couchsurfing is about and that is really taking advantage of this community for your own needs and not showing respect to hosts. We are not there to permanently accomodate anyone.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted lot of nice people when I lived in UK. Through them I got to know the craziest stories about Virginia, ate baklava recently brought from Turkey, got to know some details about life and society in Egypt, and got to sing with a great music teacher and musician! A great host saved me from sleeping under a bridge in Palo Alto accepting my request two days before arrival :). I am really looking forward to hosting more people now in US and enrich my life sharing moments with others. So far my experiences were great! Couchsurfing also brought music literally to my door. I have recently hosted a concert in my living room for two talented musicians: Kirby Sybert and Kalob Griffin (check them out), who not only sing and play the guitar amazingly well, but fill the stage with jokes and funny stories. Hosting them and his friend Anthony Simpkins, who was recording the whole event, was a great experience! I have also experienced the nice CS community in South Carolina, that organizes camping and beach events towards spring and summer. Perfect ocassions to meet random people and have a great time!

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favourite movies are Almost Famous, Little Miss Sunshine, Amelie and Layer Cake. With Music I tend to like many off-stream bands such as London Grammar (Art rock) and Junip (Psychedelia). Two of my favourite books are The last Cato (by Matilde Asensi)and The Woman who went to bed for a year (by Sue Townsend).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A trip to the north part of Taiwan with some friends that were locals. Amazing experience digging into taiwanese street/home food and culture. Seeing fireflies and going to a tea plantation were some of the most exciting things I did over there!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some useful Spanish words ;)
I want to learn about travels, all tips and recommendations, about different cultures and languages
I can share all my travelling experiences, my music, drawings, photographs and paintings...
What I Can Share with Hosts
My views on life, my travelling stories, my favourite home made cakes, music, cooking and if they want, a walk through their towns.
