Some of my favorite books include: Single Man by C.Isherwood and The Solitude of Prime numbers. Also, anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Kurt Vonnegut or Neil Gaiman.

As for music, I think that substance should prevail over form and I enjoy music with great lyrics regardless of style /such as the National for example/.
