About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I work full-time but I am always up for an adventure with new friends.

ABOUT ME

I come from the land of the Arctic snow where you can go for months without seeing the sun. I spend most of my days in the winter reading books, winter hiking, knitting, walking my dogs along the coastal trail, skiing, and cooking for my friends.
During the summer months, I can be found hiking mountains, attempting to catch fish with my bare hands, camping in a not-so-waterproof tent, and being outside as much as possible during the 24/7 blazing sunlight.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live in a positive light, not be negative about silly small things and give everyone a chance. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
My goal is to create more equality within Alaska, especially within the workforce.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host a lot of couch surfers when I have the chance. I love being able to have guests from all around the world (and some closer to home).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friends down in Portland, Oregon had a couchsurfer stay with them from New Zealand 9 years ago. We took him on an adventure to the Ape Caves in Cougar, Oregon where we all went on an adventure. That is how I was introduced to couch surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most music except the type that I do not. I like all sing along movies, nerdy films like Harry Potter, LOTR, Starwars bla bla bla, and BBC shows like The Mighty Boosh, Sherlock Holmes, Wilfred, and Doctor Who. I enjoy reading books of any nature, that are not textbooks, since graduating college. I have a stack of half-read books on my bedside table.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have partied at the Playboy Mansion.

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel that I have a lot of knowledge about Alaska Native cultures. If you would like to learn about the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 or about Native perspectives, I would gladly share my knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My amazing cooking and cleaning skills.
