ABOUT ME
I take an interest in most things from the nuts and bolts of mechanical things, to the bigger questions about who we are and what is our purpose on the planet.
I love the city and all it's noise and chaos. I work in the middle of it and I get to meet a huge range of people every day from all around the World.
I love the wilder places too, and I try get out of the city most weekends. I go to Wales quite a bit. I also know the area around Bristol pretty well. There are some stunning little spots dotted about. I aim to visit a new country every year. Usually with a bike, sometimes not.
I co-run a non-profit/workers co-op cycle scheme. My job involves teaching bicycle mechanics and managing the workshop and volunteers. I love it!
PHILOSOPHY
Don't stay indoors if it's sunny.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Mostly low-fi americana; Bill Callahan, Mountain Goats, Iron And Wine, Bonnie Prince Billy, John Fahey, Laura Veirs, Daniel Bachman, T Model Ford, Kurt Vile, Dirty Three. Also 30's jazz like Fats Waller and Django and Stephan, Art Tatum etc.
Films: Mostly independent cinema with occasional block busters for fun. I'm currently in love with a film called Alamar, a (sort of) documentary about a mexican fisherman and his five year old son. How can a film with so little dialogue, say so very much about love, humanity and the environment? I keep coming back to it.
Books: Currently; comics in Spanish and The Old Man and the Sea. I like classic America authors most. I also like old hardback books about adventuring.
