Hello good people!

My name is Karlijn, I'm a 27 year old Dutchie who arrived in New Zealand in December (2017). For the last 10 months I've been working and traveling in Australia and I had an absolute blast. Last week I found a tattoo which said: 'Love, why wouldn't you?' and from now on I think this is my new life motto :)

I like to think I'm an easygoing, fun lovin', adventurous girl who's interested in other cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As written above, I love to learn more about people, every day. I first heard about CS from my sister. She has been hosting lost of people through couchsurfing for years. I thought I'd give it a shot and even though I don't have that much experience yet, I absolutely love it already.

Interests

People. I find people and their personal stories extremely interesting and I love to learn from others every single day. Other things I am interested in are traveling, food, hospitality, cultures & languages & nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm that kind of person that loves mostly all kinds of music, depending on my mood. Same with movies really.

I've unfortunately never been very good at reading, I get distracted and give up. Really wish I was better at it (especially reading English books), open to good tips and suggestions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved the freedom of living in a car whilst traveling Australia for the last 10 months. Just arrived in New Zealand, hoping to do the same here.
