Save the world?? (I don't think I have one ;), at least not something I would call a mission)

ABOUT ME

I'm always happy to meet new people and get to know them. I'm not so worried if we don't share the same interests, as that can many times just be a good thing. But if you think I seem odd, you're probably right, but don't be afraid to ask ;).

PHILOSOPHY

Whatever doesn't break human rights and works out for me and others in a given situation. I find it difficult to give any precise statement, since I've found that many times one would then have to change that statement when hit with a new situation.

Hosting cool people in Helsinki and showing them around the city! If you're really cool, I might take you to my cottage ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been great. All people I've met so far have been super-friendly and I've had a really good time!

Music, I play guitar (check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLL_qqxeqM0), compose and sing. I also play tennis to keep in form, but am not too concerned with competing.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music is by far my biggest interest. I mostly listen to these: classical (Shostakovich, Bach, Ravel), Tango (Piazzolla), Progressive rock (Dream Theater, Yes, Rush), Rock (Pink Floyd, Dire Straits), but having said that, there are a vast number of things left out from that list :).

I try to keep up with movies, but I don't think there are any genres I don't like. Movies that are well made and surprise me are the ones I like the most. That is why the Hollywood productions of mostly this millenium, I don't find too intriguing. One can sort of know in advance what it'll be like.

I would like to read more books, but because of my occupation & too many other interests, its been mostly physics books for me :(.

Practical skills I could teach include: physics (well..., perhaps not always so practical :D), guitar playing, perhaps tennis??.

What I'd like mostly is for couchsurfing to be a cultural exchange, but I guess that that is quite automatic. The reason for me to join ;). None of this excludes meeting other people and partying :D.
