ABOUT ME
I love walking and I can't think of any other way that could allow me to spend time with myself while enjoying nature, too. I'm also a keen jogger. And a dancer. I've recently started taking guitar lessons and fallen in love with this instrument. Gave up on my pretty long nails for it, so it's for real.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people, to talking to people... to being in contact and just live.
Also, I'm with leaves! Meaning I eat green stuff and such. Meaning I'm a vegetarian.
PHILOSOPHY
Always have an open heart. Be true to yourself and honest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed with quite a lot of hosts in Japan. Meeting each of them was quite a unique experience. So far, Couchsurfing has been working out great for me! I only hope I get to meet all of these beautiful people again, sometime.
Interests
I'm interested in meeting people. And having the opportunity to improve any of the languages I speak by the power of human contact and conversation. I also looooove learning about languages I haven't studied. For example, I collect "language butterflies" (i.e. when I meet someone who speaks a language I don't know, I like asking them to tell me the word for butterfly. Then I write down the word in a list. Because I truly love butterflies and people alike, so words can connect us: whenever I look in that list, I remember the people who "gave" me the butterflies).

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: My favourite film is "Almost Famous".
Music: Going through a Pink Floyd frenzy right now (always). I also like Queen (of course), Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, The Noisettes, Beats Antique and the list goes on and on and on...
Books: Reading any of Mircea Eliade's books is a pleasure. C. G. Jung is one of my best friends. I like reading about dance and dancers (anything about Pina Bausch is fascinating). Anything I can get my hands on, basically.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked 1000 km around Japan. Roughly. And I climbed Mt Fuji at night, so I could watch the sunrise from the top.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching. I used to do it for a living. So I can teach any of the foreign languages I know, share my knowledge on cultural differences (which are always fun). Also, I can teach dance (tribal fusion belly dance, to be more precise). I can braid hair quite nicely, so I'd gladly make my hair-dresser qualities available to anyone interested. :)
