It does.-William James

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The best way to discover a place is by the people you meet. That's why I do couchsurfing while I'm traveling and I like to host people sometime at home! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started doing couchsurfing with my best friend in 2013. She had just returned from a year in Australia and she had to do couchsurfing for about 6 months. At first, when she told me it was free and not at all dangerous I was a bit skeptical hahah. But she was really convincing. So I did my first experience of couchsurfing with my best friend in Hawaii. We stayed in two marine's guys appartment in Honolulu. They were really really nice!! We had a good time! Every night, we had supper together, and we did some activities, like hiking, with them. I have to say that it took me a few days, to be like ''ok I'm sleeping in someone couch, cooking myself in his kitchen and taking a shower in his bathroom without really paying something. '' I mean, at first, you are like; Is that really possible that people could be generous and welcoming like this? But after you are like, well people like me, who wants the same things, just really exist, thought!? haha
Then, I did my second experience of couchsurfing in Los Angeles (always with my friend) We were on our way back to home, and we had a stopover there. So we found this family who hosted us for two night. Seriously, I am so thankful of this meeting! We played with the 2 little girls, and by midnight, we went to the grocery store to buy some food, because they wanted to cook us a typical dessert from their native country. Just a funny crazy night with cool people!
It was the 'coup de foudre' for that kind of travel! So I did couchsurfing while I was on a 3 months backpacking trip in Europe back in 2014. When I got back, I hosted couchsurfers in my apartment !!

Interests

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. - Plato

I discovered that I love hiking as well. Back in 2014, when I was in California I did a bunch of nationals parks and felt in love with the nature! The feeling you get when you reach the submit, and see those spectacular landscapes.

Fooooood! I love food haha! maybe too much! I have been working in restoration since 10 years and have developed a great culinary curiosity ! I also did wine classes because I like to make wine and food pairing!

Because I live in a country where summer is hot and winter is cold a f*ck sometimes.. I need to find some winter Sports if I want to enjoy this weather sometimes haha! So I do snowboarding :)

photography is one of my pastime. I have a pretty good camera and like to do my kidkodak when I travel ;)
